Angus The Bull – Cabernet Sauvignon
A wine made for meat – literally! The winemaker for Angus The Bull couldn’t find a wine he thought matched perfectly with steak, so he made one. We love that sort of proactive thinking. Angus has the ability to stand up beside a thick juicy steak and the ripe black fruit flavours shine through.
What else but steak? Pick the finest cut & cook to your own personal taste
Trinity Hill “The Gimlett” Cabernet Merlot Malbec
A big, powerful & complex wine combining the best of each varietal, the Cabernet gives big structure, the Melot gives richness & the Malbec gives density & colour. No doubt about it, this wine isn’t messing around and is as good to drink now as it will be in 6 years.
Serve with strongly flavoured meats like venison or other game
Johnny Q Shiraz
Johnny Q describes himself as easy going & versatile with a love of life – we knew there was a reason we liked him so much! This Shiraz has a deep colour and rich fruit aromas but is surprisingly easy drinking despite its full body with delicious ripe fruit flavours oozing out of the palate.
Ideally enjoy with BBQ’d lamb or beef
Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Chardonnay
A delicious rich, complex and creamy style from the renowned Gimblett Gravels region of the Hawkes Bay. This wine is packed with delicious grapefruit and peach flavours with the biscuity toastiness we have come to expect of a truly great Chardy!
Serve with a perfectly roast pork with crispy crackling
Elephant Hill Chardonnay
This wine in a word is elegant! Gorgeous flavours of nectarine and toasty oak all beautifully balanced so at no point does this wine feel like there is too much of anything going on. That’s definitely the hallmark of a great wine in our estimation.
Serve with a delicious roast chicken
Marisco Bastard Chardonnay
A beautifully bright and light Marlborough Chardonnay that with lots of citrus and vanilla that manages to taste both fresh and rich all at the same time. This is one of our “go-to” Chardys at LK and we’re confident you’ll love it too.
Enjoy with Scallops wrapped in bacon or even turkey
